Our History
| Hertner's was created in 1939 by H.R. "Bud" Wilson and was originally known as Wilson's Camera Store. After the divorce in 1943, Mrs. Wilson retained the store in the settlement and following World War II married Henry Hertner. The store was renamed Hertner's Camera Store. Mrs Hertner sold the business to the current owner, Cindy Eastland in 1989 after Cindy had been a dedicated employee since 1980. Since then, Hertner's has become the oldest continuously operated camera store in Amarillo and has a reputation of only high quality goods, excellent service and longtime satisfied customers. |
